2008 Honda CBR1000RR

Four years later after introducing the CBR1000RR to Honda's lineup of sport bikes, their litre bike has had a redesign from the ground up. At first glance the new cbr looks nothing like it predecessor. The tail section went from having a wide fin-like tail to supporting a new tail section that looks like it is just wide enough to fit a passenger on the rear seat. Instead of a pointy demon like front end the new front is very wide and flat. The undertail exhaust has been changed out with a mid moto gp style exhaust exiting right below your right foot. The new tank logo is more of a button style emblem than the old painted on style.

The 2008 cbr is 17lbs lighter than the 07, supports a shorter wheelbase, which is better for handling in the corners, full weight specs is 435lbs, at 160 horsepower to the rear wheel. The color options for this year is black, black and red, and my favorite, black and white.

This Honda still shows true to the lineup that they have been famous for but it is not my first pick for a 1000cc sport bike. Its not the fastest and its definetly not the prettiest. I would check out Suzuki's lineup.
